"Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea... And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority" Rev 13:1-2
The Greek word for beast here refers to an animal that is hunted as prey, but as portrayed here this beast is given authority to hunt.
The reference to it coming out of the sea is interesting in that it would be unnatural.
Corporations, as artificial legal entities, unnatural, if you will, were born when commerce became a thing of the sea—sea trade. Some of the great trading corporations were born out of sea trade.
Today, most governments are mere corporations having come out of those sea ventures and whose authority comes from the dragon. The people, who ought to be served by those governments, are not aware that they have been converted from created living souls to legal persons, chattel—a commodity traded in the marketplace.
